Each year Global Travel Group host an annual conference which brings together our travel agent members and preferred suppliers for a few days of business networking, motivational sessions with guest speakers, gala dinner awards evening and plenty of fun!

This year we headed stateside to Orlando, Florida taking 270 conference delegates with us to stay at the Loews Sapphire Falls Resort in Universal Studios Florida™. Over the course of our 2018 conference, delegates were given the chance to discover everything Orlando has to offer from unforgettable theme park experiences to hotel inspection tours and a spot of retail therapy for good measure.

We were delighted to be joined by Environmental Activist & Consumer Advocate, Erin Brockovich, a true American icon whose sheer determination has enabled her to achieve incredible success against the odds. From initial feedback it was clear that Erin was a hit with conference delegates, inspiring them to be different!

We were also joined by Former Blue Peter Presenter, Travel Blogger and Life Coach, Katy Hill, TV Wellness Legend Mr. Motivator and Sales Coach, Simon Cox. All of this year’s guest speakers motivated our travel agent members to Ignite – Fire Up Your Business!

We also heard from Global’s Managing Director, Andy Stark on the success of the past 12 months within the group. Divisional Senior Vice President at dnata, Iain Andrews gave an update on all things dnata and Senior Sales Manager at Universal, Dave Cole graced the stage with an appearance from special guests Optimus Prime and Bumble Bee from the Transformers!

Global’s Commercial Director, Cherie Richards took to the stage to give our #TGTGCONF18 delegates an overview of everything that’s happened over the past 12 months highlighting #25YearsOfGlobal. From VIP trips to Global Rocks and more there was plenty to look back on and even more to look forward to in 2019. Cherie also announced Global’s new branding, explaining why it was important to Global and the journey it took to get to the finished article.

Managing Director of TTG, Dan Pearce led our travel agent member panel which saw Ben from Venture Travel, Jo from Tivoli Travel, Issy from Go Easy Travel and Claire from Its So Travel tackle questions around what they do to market their businesses, from social media to events, networking and window displays.

In and amongst the business sessions, delegates were able to enjoy fast track passes to Universal Studios and an exclusive night at City Walk’s Rising Star Karaoke Bar.

It wouldn’t be conference without a fabulous gala dinner evening! We celebrated member achievements, enjoyed some evening entertainment and danced the night away!
