We reveal new tools for our Members
An innovative set of ‘How To’ video tutorials have been unveiled by the Global Travel Group Marketing team. Designed at giving their members the skills they need to make best use of the consortium’s marketing tools.
The videos – which are all between one and two minutes in length – can be found on our member-only, Horizon intranet system.
Initially, five tutorials have been created, with the simple, step-by-step guides covering setting up a mail-sending account, creating a subscribers’ list, sending an email campaign and uploading social media cards on both Twitter and Facebook. Andy Stark, Managing Director, said: “The initiative fitted well with Global’s recent conference theme of ‘How to’ and had been driven by member feedback. For a long time we have provided agents with some great interactive marketing tools – things like pre-coded responsive emails, web banners and hosted video advertising. They love it – but told us that they’d benefit from practical training in order to maximise their sales. The video tutorials are a neat way of explaining how to get the most from the tools and we’re sure they will translate into bringing in great business for agents.”
As well as being available on Horizon, we’re ensuring members are reminded of the tutorials by inserting links to them on internal e-shots. We’re also developing a series of pdf tutorials, which members can download or print out, to go alongside each video.
Andy Stark added: “Further video tutorials would be added if members wanted particular subjects explained.”
Continuing the drive to add marketing resources, Global is also expanding the functionality available on Horizon. The system will feature a new image library for agents along with an online store area which allows agents to order marketing material directly. Both features should be available by the end of July.
