The Global Travel Group Plc was formed in 1993 with the specific purpose of uniting independent travel agents and providing them with the capability to compete with the larger multiple groups.

The Group has established an excellent reputation for providing a low-cost solution for people wishing to start their own business venture in the exciting travel marketplace. Our unique customer protection scheme has enabled entrepreneurial individuals from a variety of different backgrounds to set up their own successful travel businesses and avoid the high barriers to entry usually associated with the travel industry.

The core objective of the Global Travel Group is to optimise profits for the Group and its members through unique innovation and technological advancement, creating a market leading force of independent travel agents who in turn operate as ethical and responsible retailers.

The Groups head office is based in Chester with over 260 staff dedicated to ensuring the success of over 800 independent travel agents who are part of the Group.  

Always at the forefront of travel industry technology and moving with industry and market trends, the Group leads the way in travel technology with a whole host of online travel products - Rooms, Airfares and Holidays.

The future is bright for The Global Travel Group as it develops its core business.  Over the past 12-18 months the Group has created its own in-house Tour Operation, Accommodation Only arm and online flight consolidator providing members with all the tools to compete with exclusive, differentiated products and services.

The most recent development is that of the formation of commercial buying group "Triton Travel Group Ltd" which unites the UK's three leading independent travel consortia (Global, Worldchoice and Advantage Travel Centres) thus creating the largest, most powerful Independent Travel Group in the UK.
